The existing concrete staircase at Winstones Cove, Torbay had failed during an Easterly storm event and required replacement, to offer safe access to the Northern portion of the beach. Auckland Council engaged Hutchinson Consulting Engineers to provide detailed engineering design of the concrete stair replacement in mid-2021. Construction was completed under Hutchinson construction supervision, and the finished concrete stairs have received great community feedback.
